On the day of the Cell Games, cameras from every nation lock onto a ring in the wilderness. Mr. Satan and his disciples are flattened in a blink, and the real match is Goku versus Perfect Cell. Their exchange even includes an Instant Transmission Kamehameha and looks dead even, but Goku reads the stamina drain and Cell's regeneration, then forfeits. The next name he calls is still a boy: Gohan. Piccolo and Krillin erupt in protest, yet Goku trusts only the hidden power he saw in the Room of Spirit and Time, and admits he himself cannot beat Cell.
