Goku's group is hit by Captain Dark's traps, guards, and rigged chests in the pirate cave, then rips the Dragon Balls back from the treasure room. Dark uses allies as shields; Blue still hunts and chooses to buy Goku's life with money. The Red Ribbon Army calls Tao Pai Pai, an assassin who stands at the foot of Karin Tower at supersonic speed, and the Dodonpa closes distance. Goku starts running up the tower toward a teacher he has not yet met; one pillar through the clouds strips willpower first. His invincibility makes a sound and shakes. The pirate arc ends and the assassin arc opens on the same line.
